PROJECT 1A
I am required to produce 5 sketches of spaces. I am required to look at various aspects of the built environment within the site using different mediums to demonstrate our understanding of space, and lastly i choose out 3 out 5 space in Taylor lakeside university such as:
• Textural effects/Materials
• Solids and voids: Form, Skin, Structure
• Solids and voids: Form, Skin, Structure
• Opening/Aperture; openness/enclosure; inside/outside; light/shadow
• Details
• Landscape/Setting
• Scale and proportion (Relation to human and other surrounding built environment)
REFLECTION:
-I understand the notion of space in architecture, learn to differentiate and understand a space.
-I developed skills in visualising of space through observation and perception of spaces in my university.
-I developed skills in sketching to use it as a mode of communication.
Project 1B
I am required to produce four A4 size sketches of four different technique sketching skill we learned in class:
- scribbling
- cross hatching
- hatching
- stippling

Stippling
REFLECTION:
-I learned to communicate with clarity and accuracy using line weight, symbols, to present information, depth and items on the plans and elevation as well as sections.
-I learned how orthographical drawings work and understand them thoroughly.
-I learned to ink and trace using the correct scale and techniques.
-I learned how orthographical drawings work and understand them thoroughly.
-I learned to ink and trace using the correct scale and techniques.
Project 2
After the production of orthographic drawings, I am required to use pencil and butter paper to generate an external axonometric drawing of the Barcelona Pavilion following the demonstration in lectures. I need to refer my orthographic drawings and the documents for measurements and information provided by tutor. After having confidently constructed my drawing in pencil, I need to proceed to trace my final ink drawing on tracing paper in order to produce a proper axonometric drawing of the building.
Floor Plan
Elevation + Section
One point + two point perspective
AXONOMETRIC
REFLECTION
-I learned to express spatial ideas and architectural details using a three dimensional axonometric projection method from my floor plan.
-I learned to use drawing techniques to put my picture plane, viewing angle and stationery point to produce a proper perspective drawings from my floor plan.
-I learned to use different line weights to show distance and depth on my drawing.
-I learned to use colour and render to indicate materials in the building.
