COMPUTER APPLICATION - PROJECT 3
ANIMATION
In this project, we are required to animate a video to introduce our building. We are requested to use 3DS Max to make an animation. We can also make the animation by using Lumion software. In my case, initially i tried to use 3DS Max to make my video, however it took long time and also not so good effect in 3DS Max. Hence, I used Lumion as my second option.
In 3DS Max , we have to create a walkthrough pathway camera.
Firstly, we have to draw a line to indicate as a pathway to place my camera.
Secondly, we go to General Tool bars which is on the top, choose the "Animation" tool, and click on the "Walkthrough Asistant".
It will jump out a window. Choose "Target" and click on the "Create New Camera".
Then, select the new camera u have just created, beneath it is a bar which is delicate "choose pathway", click it and choose the line that u have drawn previously.
U will see a camera in your viewport, adjust the postion of your camera by using move and rotate which is "W" and "E" shotcut key.
After you have adjust a right position, go to the bottom and u will see " Autokey ". That's help you to create key frame of your animation.
Click on in, you will realize your keyframe become "Red", then you can start move your Camera from start point to the end point you want. After moving your camera, click to close the "AutoKey" again to stop the keyframe. Then you have created one video clip of your animation.
Render
After create all the camera and key frame, you can start rendering your video, go to your "rendering setup" and go to "Common" Bar. Click the "Frames" option, it allow you to alternate the frames you wan to render.
For example, if you have set up several camera in certain timeline, you may already create a several key frame of your video, you can choose a certain keyframe to one by one to render. The advantages of using this method, you can save time, and you won't waste time of render it again.
P.S: Rendering time takes a long time, so suggest that using this method will be better unless you make sure you have enough time to render and your animation is completely done.
Here is two video clips that have been rendered partly.
Here's the link of my Final Animation.
Watch and enjoy.
