Internship Training and Report
This module aims to introduce students to the requirements, activities and operations involved in an architectural and construction practice. The objective of the module is to facilitate the involvement of students in professional attachments to architectural practices to help us develop an understanding of the general nature, principles and procedure of law and legislation as applied to architectural drawings, especially the building by-laws. In the process of the internship, I am exposed to the submission process and the range of contract documentation besides the usual design stages.
For this module, I was interned at Clement Wong Architecture. The training period commenced at 3rd January to 10th March (9 weeks). During this intensive 9 weeks, I was assigned to attend to different tasks from design stage to contract documentation with several meetings and site visits along the way.

To
sum up, I have learnt two different knowledges during this 2 months internship.
Firstly, Architecturally I improve my software skill which is Autocad to draw
technical detail drawings. On the other hand, I have learnt more knowledges
from Project Management about the contractual, legal documents by architects, and
construction site. I appreciate that I have an opportunity to learn some of the
construction knowledges. It is important to gain some information from the
construction site. In university, we will learn about SPACE AND TIME, when we
come to real industrial world, we learn one more which is COST. I have to thank
to my boss and colleague that give me so much pleasure chance to learn that I
am not be able to learn in university. Lastly, after internship we will be able
to find our own direction or decision of our path in our future.
